What We Do

We are collaborative industry leaders committed to a vital, innovative, and sustainable food sector that is valued by our community.

We observe the general principles of ‘clustering’, which are recognised world-wide, and whereby a cluster is considered to be a group of businesses, government agencies, research and associated organisations, in a defined geographic area that are interconnected and share a common purpose or interest, where each contribute to enhance the innovation, growth and competitiveness of both the region and businesses.

There are many examples around the globe that show how innovative clusters accelerate:

  • New knowledge and capabilities;
  • New product development;
  • New business start-ups;
  • Private & public investment;
  • Productivity improvements;
  • Increased competitiveness and export growth; and
  • Regional development.

We are a member of the  Screenshot TCI network

We operate on a “project” basis. We consider project concepts that are in line with our purpose, and progress these through rigorous feasibility studies and trials. Projects approved by the Board move through to implementation. Most of our projects involve strategic alliances with external parties.

We run networking events, as well as explore further connectivity and opportunity through other local, national and global networks.

We proactively engage in relevant forums to have a positive influence on policy and planning at local, state, and federal government levels, and as relevant to our sector and our region.

Whilst our roots were in 'East Gippsland', most of our projects are region-wide in their reach.

Our strategic framework is available here.
